TLScontact

IMPORTANT NEWS

Our cooperation with the German Embassy and Consulates in China has ended.

Since February 20, 2019 TLScontact is no longer accepting visa applications on behalf of the German missions in China.

Applicants whose applications are still processed by the German missions should contact the German missions regarding their application status.

The website and locations of the new service provider for visa applications are published through the website of the Embassy of Germany.

Business visit

Business Visit visas are usually issued for those seeking to attend meetings, conduct negotiations with business partners, conduct market research, participate in conferences & workshops and to attend interviews.

Those seeking to visit or exhibit in a trade fair should follow the document list for trade fair in order to prepare their application.

If you have not yet received the original invitation letter from Germany for your business visit, you can apply with a scanned copy of the invitation letter and a print-out of the email with which it was sent (sender and transmission details must be visible).

Do not apply for a tourism visa if you are travelling for business purposes. Applying for the incorrect travel purpose and providing false or falsified documents may lead to the refusal of your application.

Spouses and other family members who are accompanying the business traveler should apply for a tourist visa. If the application is submitted separately, they should indicate clearly in their visa application that they are accompanying a business traveler (e.g. by providing a copy of the business traveler’s passport and, if applicable, a copy of the issued visa).

Frequent business travelers can apply for a multiple entry visa which may be valid for a period of one year or more.
