Starting from 03 August 2021, the non-vaccinated persons can apply for visas for business and medical if they fill out and submit:
For business visa, “Declaration of the absolute necessity of short-term business travel” (The form needs to be signed, stamped and filled out by the business partner in Germany).
For medical visa, “Certification of entry for urgent medical reasons” (The form needs to be signed by the receiving medical facility in Germany within the visa required documents).
Starting from 15 July 2021, applying for a visa to Germany is possible for persons from Egypt who have been fully vaccinated against the Sars CoV 2 coronavirus.
From 15 July 2021 fully vaccinated persons will also be able to apply for visas for business travels, family visits, tourism and internship at TLScontact, if they have been vaccinated with one of the vaccines listed on the website of the Paul Ehrlich Institute.
Note: The vaccines from Sinopharm or Sinovac as well as the vaccine ‚Sputnik V‘ are NOT listed!
For the application a vaccination certificate has to be provided, that is issued in English (both the form and the entries have to be in English) and that must always include:
In the case of a person who has recovered from infection, a single dose of a vaccine is sufficient. As proof of full vaccination for a recovered person, proof must also be provided that they had the SARS CoV 2 coronavirus before their vaccination. As proof of this illness, a positive PCR test must be presented.
*Children *who have not reached the age of twelve and have not yet been vaccinated, can enter Germany along with at least one fully vaccinated parent. They have to provide a negative PCR-test. Children who have not reached the age of six, do not need to provide a test.
Applications cannot be accepted if the aformentioned evidence cannot be provided or if the travel purpose is different from the aformentioned, even if an appointment has been booked and prepaid!

Starting from the 1st of June 2021, TLScontact Cairo Centre will accept vocational training visa applications (Ausbildung).
TLScontact is taking additional precautionary measures regarding the spread of the coronavirus. In order to further limit social contacts, TLScontact is introducing a mandatory express courier return service starting from 14th of February 2021.
Once your passport is returned by the Diplomatic Mission to our visa application centre, we will send it by express courier to your designated address.
There has been a change regarding the regulations for medical visa under the travel restrictions to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. All patients have to present the Confirmation of medical reason form signed by the receiving medical facility in Germany within the visa required documents.
Sarting from the 18th of November 2020, the service fee payment will be "online" or by "Fawry stores" during the appointment booking process.
The visa fee has to be paid in EGP in cash at TLScontact centre.

There are still strict entry restrictions for travelers from third countries to the European Union. For medical emergencies entry is possible if:
1. Without treatment, the patient’s life is in danger or there is a risk of significant permanent damage.
2. The treatment cannot be carried out in Egypt or the treatment was started in Germany and needs to be continued now.
Please note: You have to meet both requirements for a medical emergency visa!
Both must be proven by corresponding written confirmations from the treating physician in Egypt AND the receiving medical institution in Germany. If there are compelling medical reasons, visas can also be applied for max. two accompanying persons to travel with the patient.
The passback "Passport collection" will be open on Sundays and Wednesdays only from 08:00 to 14:00.
The Passport collection is available in Cairo only until further notice.
The Visa Application Centers in Cairo and Alexandria will not be able to receive visa applications from March 17th until further notice as a result of the impact of Coronavirus measures.
The passports collection "Passback" is closed. You can still request via the Contact us page to have your passport or legalizations to be sent to you via our TNT service.

The Visa Application Center in Alexandria will not be able to receive visa applications from 17 March until further notice as a result of the impact of Coronavirus measures. The passports collection "Passback" will be remaining open on 18th and 19th March: 08.00-16.00 and 24th and 31st March only until this moment. The above instructions may be changed at anytime according to the Consulates or local government instructions.
Please note that photo in Passport needs to resemble applicant at the time of submitting the application. If this is not the case applicant will be requested to change the passport before application can be submitted.

Please note that visa processing time during this period will be on average 5 weeks. Applicants are therefore advised to make use of the option to keep their passports after they have submitted their application at TLScontact. During the high season this will not require any additional documents and the costs for this additional service are 94 EGP. You should submit your passport not later than 5 weeks after your initial application to eventually obtain the visa.

Obtaining your passport from the embassy during the visa processing time is not possible.
Due to the exit of Great Britain from the EU, visas for spouses of British nationals according to the EU freedom of movement stipulations will from now on be limited in validity until 31st of January 2020.
For travels after this date, visa applications may be filed. They will be dealt with under the regular visa stipulations (visa code/residence act) with no regard to the EU freedom of movement legal framework.
Due to the exit of Great Britain, spouses of British nationals will not be able to enjoy freedom of movement within the EU as of 31st of January 2020. Already issued visas to British national´s spouses under the EU freedom of movement legal framework will be invalid and cannot be used to enter Germany/the EU anymore.
TLScontact is pleased to announce that its centre in Cairo will start accepting documents for legalization on behalf of the Embassy of Germany in Cairo starting from 3rd March, 2019.
Egyptian citizens wishing to have their documents legalized can visit our centre in Cairo to submit their documents in a convenient and comfortable environment.
