By agreement with the German Diplomatic Mission in South Africa Schengen visa applications are processed at the TLScontact centre.
Short stay visa (Schengen visa) for not more than 90 days for the following purposes:
Each mission in South Africa covers a specific geographic region. You are allowed to apply at different TLScontact visa application centres depending on the consular district of your residence.
The Consular district of Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo, North West and Mpumalanga as well as Lesotho, Mauritius and Eswatini can only apply at the TLScontact Visa application centres in Bloemfontein, Centurion or Durban.
The Consular district Eastern Cape, Northern Cape, Western Cape as well as St Helena can only apply at the TLScontact Visa application centres in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth.
The TLScontact procedure is not compulsory. Applicants can apply at the German Diplomatic Mission in South Africa to submit their applications with prior appointment.
