General information

Welcome to the newly redesigned website of TLScontact. We are looking forward to be receiving you!

short-term Schengen visas

Following official communication from the German Embassy, anyone wishing to apply for a Schengen visa from South Africa must now do so via one of the TLScontact visa application centres.

  • If you are a family member of an EU citizen, you will still need to provide all the required documents with your Schengen visa application. However, you will be exempt from the Schengen visa fees if you are able to provide written proof of your family relationship.
  • If you are an official South African passport holder and can provide a ‘note verbal’ confirming that your expenses will be paid during your trip, you will also be exempt from the Schengen visa fees.

However, you will still be required to pay the TLScontact service fee as part of your visa application.

Germany is gradually lifting travel restrictions and is beginning to process visa applications under certain conditions. Our Visa Application Centre will therefore be reopening from September 30th 2020 for applications for certain visa types.

Our appointment table is now open for you to book a time slot for your appointment.
